Hervey Bay’s Tennis Academy has since had new management take over.
With this in view, we’d like to introduce ourselves...We are Luke & Leah Harvey and we believe in providing a high quality, family orientated service to the tennis families of Hervey Bay and surrounding districts.
You will all be very familiar with Luke, as have been one of your current tennis coaches at the Hervey Bay courts.
Luke’s experience in the tennis world spans 19 years in mostly NSW and QLD, but across the broader spectrum of Europe & South-east Asia as a player. He competed as a professional tennis player on the ITF circuit. He was also selected as a squad member in the 2005 David Cup. During this time he met and worked with many high profile players including Lleyton Hewitt, and gained priceless business and life skills. After his professional playing career, Luke’s love of tennis led him to tennis coaching in which he coached in NSW for 6 Years, and now in QLD under AllStarr Tennis for 3 years, to date. In addition, he coached the NSW Milo State Squad at the Homebush International Tennis Centre.
During this time Luke has gained invaluable people skills, organisational and business skills, and above all, the ability to instil good character values in his tennis students.
Leah’s past life existed mostly as the ranger manager at Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island. This role encompassed managing staff, payroll, budgets, education programs (written and spoken) for all ages, organising annual events, public speaking, media commitments, website management and general office duties. Since then, she has expanded her expertise and worked as a medical receptionist, a barrista and a make-up artist (a new found passion!)
We would like to welcome new members to join the Hervey Bay & District Tennis Association’s club and become a tennis student of Ace Tennis Hervey Bay. To the current members and students, we really look forward to many tennis adventures that lay ahead!
